Annie Coggan Computations

Annie Coggan
Computations
Winter Light Installation Series, Part Three
February 12 - March 4, 2020

Annie Coggan’s work explores contemporary ideas in interior textile construction and their relationship to dense histories of architecture and furniture. For this installation Coggan brings forward her ongoing investigation of smocking, a method of fabric manipulation, into a contemporary realm. In this largely undocumented craft, Coggan takes traditional smocking methods as a source then creates her own plotted configurations into interior scaled canvas panels.

Catalog of the Computations exhibit available here.
